KAP 150-style autopilot
A Bendix/King KAP 150-style autopilot: the KC 191 mode controller with its amber legends, mode keys and the vertical trim rocker. It engages and switches the simulator's autopilot modes from the iPad; the KFC 150 with a flight director is offered as the second model.

Features
- Amber gas-discharge-style legends for ALT, HDG, GS, NAV, APR, BC and AP, lit while the mode is engaged (GS when the glideslope is captured)
- TRIM annunciator (white on red-orange) lit at power-up until you run the TEST, as the real unit's preflight test
- TEST button: all legends on for 1.5 s, then TRIM flashes, then AP flashes, about six seconds in all
- AP legend flashes for five seconds when the autopilot disengages
- White DN / UP vertical trim rocker in its recess: holding it repeats
- AP ENG key to engage or disengage the autopilot
- At night the faceplate and keys take the red flood light, while the legends keep their own color, dimmed
- Thin 2 x 1 unit: stackable with another thin module or rackable
On the iPad
- Tap ALT, HDG, NAV, APR or BC to toggle that mode
- Tap AP ENG to engage or disengage the autopilot
- Press the top (DN) or bottom (UP) half of the trim rocker; hold it to keep stepping (every 0.3 s)
- Tap the small TEST button to run the annunciator test (display only, nothing sent to the sim)
