GMC 705-style autopilot controller

The GFC 700's stand-alone mode controller as fitted on the console of a Cirrus with Perspective avionics: mode keys with lit triangles, the boxed AP key, blue LVL and the DN / UP pitch wheel. It drives the simulator's autopilot modes from the iPad; the Perspective+ GMC 707 is the second model.

Variants

GMC 705 (Perspective)v1.0
Keys only: HDG, NAV, APR | AP, LVL, FD, YD | the wheel | FLC, ALT, VS, VNV; four screws, white dividers
Picker: MODEL > GMC 705 (Perspective)

GMC 707 (Perspective+)v1.0
Larger keys between an HDG knob and an ALT SEL knob (both PUSH SYNC); no YD key
Picker: MODEL > GMC 707 (Perspective+)
Features
- A small triangle over each key that glows green while its mode is engaged
- Boxed AP key, LVL key with its blue ring (blue-level mode)
- HDG, NAV, APR, AP, LVL, FD, YD, FLC, ALT, VS and VNV keys, each toggling its mode
- Ribbed pitch wheel in its slot with the DN / UP arrow; it visibly rolls as you drag it
- The real unit's typeface on the keys; keys press down with a click
- At night the faceplate and keys take the red flood light; the mode triangles keep their own color, dimmed
- Thin 2 x 1 unit: stackable with another thin module or rackable
On the iPad
- Tap a key to toggle its mode (AP engages or disengages the autopilot)
- Drag the wheel up (toward DN) for nose down, down (toward UP) for nose up: one step per rib
- Tap the top half of the wheel for one step DN, the bottom half for one step UP
Settings
- Model: GMC 705 (Perspective) or GMC 707 (Perspective+) (picker variant)

Changes
The instrument's version counts what its faces share (the case, the mechanism, the data, the sounds); a face's own version counts that face alone.
