C172-style flaps lever
The 172's flap lever on its black plate: drag the white handle through its gated slot to a detent and the simulator's flaps follow. A white pointer shows where the flaps really are, beside a speed placard from the aircraft profile.

Features
- Gated slot that steps over at each notch past the first; detents at the 172's spacing (3 positions), else even
- Click and haptic tap at each detent while dragging
- White pointer in its own slot showing the real flap position as it moves
- Scale 0, 10, 20, 30 degrees (40 degrees full for more than three positions)
- Speed placard: blue band with the first-notch limit (Vfe1) and white with the full-flap limit (Vfe), in KIAS, from the profile (numbers left out on a generic profile)
- WING FLAPS lettering; plate and lever lit by the red flood at night; the glareshield's warm light falls on the faceplate too when its dimmer is up (Settings > Dimmers > Glareshield, off by default)
Your aircraft: Number of detents from the simulator's flap positions; placard speeds (Vfe1, Vfe) from the profile's V-speeds (blue band hidden if Vfe1 is unknown). A generic profile (speeds not known) leaves the placard's numbers out.
