C152 flaps lever

C152 flaps lever

The 152's flaps lever on its narrow black plate: WING FLAPS across the top, 0°, 10°, 20° and 30° down the left in a slanted figure, the straight slot and the dark paddle reaching out of it. Drag the paddle to a position and the simulator's flaps go there; the white pointer beside the figures shows where the flaps really are.

Features

  • Narrow black plate with a screw at its top and its bottom, WING FLAPS across the top
  • 0°, 10°, 20°, 30° down the left in a slanted figure (40° full when the simulator has more than three flap positions)
  • Straight slot with the dark paddle leaning toward the pilot; it stops at each position with a click and a tap you feel
  • White pointer beside the figures showing the flaps' real angle, following the lever slowly as the electric flaps do
  • The number of stops is the simulator's flap positions
  • Plate and lever lit by the red flood at night

Your aircraft: Positions from the simulator's flap handle positions (the 152's four: 0, 10, 20, 30); full travel 40° when there are more than three.

On the iPad

  • Drag the paddle up or down its slot; release at a position to send the flaps there
  • Long press to change or move the module

Simulator data

What the Hub reads from the simulator for this instrument, and what the instrument sends back. Names are the simulators' own: MSFS SimVars and events, X-Plane datarefs and commands.

Add-on aircraft with their own systems may use other variables; the Hub reads the standard ones.

Changes

The instrument's version counts what its faces share (the case, the mechanism, the data, the sounds); a face's own version counts that face alone.
