Features

  • Blue-white LCD: the active frequency large over the preset
  • TX while transmitting; a ► before the frequency heard, filled while receiving
  • Standard mode: the encoder edits the preset; a cursor underlines MHz, 100 kHz or the channel digits
  • Direct Tune: the encoder changes the active frequency directly; the battery voltage shown under it
  • Channel mode: CH01-99 stored channels or LAST1-9 recent ones, made active as you turn
  • STO: FREE / USED CHxx offered, STO again stores the preset there
  • 8.33 / 25 kHz display (STO held); SQL and SCAN annunciators; Pilots and Intercom menus (display only)
  • Display dark without avionics power; dimmed at night, faceplate under the red flood light

On the iPad

  • Drag the encoder to turn the digits under the cursor (MHz, 100 kHz, channel); push it to move the cursor
  • Tap MDE to cycle Standard / Direct Tune / Channel; hold it for the Pilots menu (brightness, squelch)
  • Tap STO to offer a channel, turn to pick it, STO again to store; hold STO to toggle 8.33 / 25 kHz
  • Tap the swap / SCN key to swap active and preset; hold it for SCAN (display only)
  • Tap IC / SQL to toggle SQL; hold it for the Intercom menu

Settings

  • Which radio: COM 1 or COM 2 (picker variant)
  • In-unit menus (brightness, squelch, intercom volume / VOX) have no simulator effect

Simulator data

What the Hub reads from the simulator for this instrument, and what the instrument sends back. Names are the simulators' own: MSFS SimVars and events, X-Plane datarefs and commands.

Changes

The instrument's version counts what its faces share (the case, the mechanism, the data, the sounds); a face's own version counts that face alone.
