Engine gauges (4 in 1)

Engine gauges (4 in 1)

Four engine gauges in one cell. The C172 face puts the 172's four round cluster gauges together (fuel quantity, EGT / fuel flow, oil, suction / amps); the C152 face its four small dials (fuel left and right on top, oil temperature and pressure below).

Variants

Engine gauges (4 in 1): C172 style

C172 stylev1.0

Four round cluster gauges two over two: FUEL QTY and EGT / FUEL FLOW over OIL and VAC / AMP (the engineCluster instrument)

Picker: Engine gauges (4 in 1), FACE: C172 style

Engine gauges (4 in 1): C152 style

C152 stylev1.0

Four small rectangular dials: FUEL QTY L and R over OIL TEMP and OIL PRESS

Picker: Engine gauges (4 in 1), FACE: C152 style

Features

  • C152 face: two over two, FUEL QTY L and R, OIL TEMP and OIL PRESS, scales, muted arcs and red lines from the profile; long white needles with a shadow, glass reflection over each face
  • C152 face: red X over the strip when any of the four values is missing or stale; realistic needles (Settings) move its needles
  • C172 face: the 172's round cluster gauges at half size, each with its own scales, bands and red lines from the profile; the EGT dial shows the same yellow reference needle as the EGT / fuel flow gauge
  • C172 face: no red X and no realistic-needle motion (it draws the raw values)
  • Night lighting: the face takes the panel's red flood light, the glareshield's warm light from above (stronger for instruments higher on the page) and its own light, a lamp hidden at the top of the case lighting the dial downward (Settings > Dimmers: Red flood light, Glareshield, Instruments (analog)); the C172 face gets a lamp over each of its four gauges

Your aircraft: Tank size, oil, EGT, fuel flow and suction limits from the profile (wide default scales without bands on a generic profile).

On the iPad

  • No knobs: a tap asks to change the instrument

Settings

  • FACE: C172 style, C152 style (instrument picker)
  • Global: Realistic needles (C152 face)

Simulator data

What the Hub reads from the simulator for this instrument, and what the instrument sends back. Names are the simulators' own: MSFS SimVars and events, X-Plane datarefs and commands.

Changes

The instrument's version counts what its faces share (the case, the mechanism, the data, the sounds); a face's own version counts that face alone.
