C172 engine gauges (4 in 1)

C172 engine gauges (4 in 1)

The Cessna 172's four round engine cluster gauges packed into one 1 x 1 cell: FUEL QTY, EGT / FUEL FLOW, OIL temperature / pressure and VAC / AMP. Each is a dual half-gauge in its own round case with two needles swinging up from pivots at the sides, marked from the aircraft profile.

Features

  • Laid out as on the 172 panel: FUEL QTY and EGT / FUEL FLOW over OIL and VAC / AMP, two by two
  • FUEL QTY: left tank on the left needle, right tank on the right, numbers scaled to the aircraft's tank size (GAL)
  • EGT without numbers, 25 °F a division, over the profile's top 500 °F; a yellow EGT reference needle when one has been set (shared with the EGT / fuel flow gauge's knob)
  • FUEL FLOW in GAL/HR with the profile's green arc
  • OIL TEMP (°F) and OIL PRESS (PSI) with the profile's arcs and red lines
  • VAC (suction, IN HG, green 4.5 to 5.5 by default) and a center-zero AMP scale (-60 to +60)
  • Colored arcs, red low arcs and red limit lines from the aircraft profile
  • Takes the panel's night lighting like the round analog gauges (lit as a 2 x 2 grid of dials)
  • No red X over all four: a missing value just leaves that needle at the bottom of its scale

Your aircraft: All arcs and ranges come from the aircraft profile's engine limits (tank size, EGT maximum, fuel flow range, oil temperature / pressure, suction); the ammeter is a fixed -60 to +60.

On the iPad

  • Display only: no touch controls (the EGT reference is set on the separate EGT / fuel flow gauge)

Settings

  • FACE: C172 style (this) or C152 style (the small rectangular dials)

Simulator data

What the Hub reads from the simulator for this instrument, and what the instrument sends back. Names are the simulators' own: MSFS SimVars and events, X-Plane datarefs and commands.

Changes

The instrument's version counts what its faces share (the case, the mechanism, the data, the sounds); a face's own version counts that face alone.
