KA 134-style audio panel

KA 134-style audio panel

A KA 134-style audio panel: one row of ten mechanical latching keys on a black plate, no lamps. EXT, 1 and 2 (yellow) under the MIC bracket pick where the microphone goes; BOTH, NAV1, NAV2, ADF, DME and MKR (white) and SPKR (yellow) select what is heard. A key that is on sits pushed in, lower than the others.

Features

  • 1 / 2 transmit on that COM; one MIC key in at a time
  • EXT, the third MIC position (the intercom / external mic): pushed, it sits in and releases 1 and 2 on the panel until one of them is pushed; the simulator keeps transmitting on the COM it did
  • BOTH in: both COM receivers are heard; out: only the transmitting COM's
  • NAV1, NAV2, ADF, DME, MKR, SPKR toggle their audio and the cabin speaker; the keys in are the ones the simulator reports on
  • No marker lamps: the KA 134 has no marker receiver (MKR selects an external receiver's audio)
  • No key in before the simulator says which COM transmits
  • Keys and legends in the red flood with the backlight at night; the glareshield's warm light falls on the plate too when its dimmer is up (Settings > Dimmers > Glareshield, off by default)

On the iPad

  • Tap a key to push it in or let it out; tap 1 or 2 under MIC to transmit on that COM, EXT for the intercom position

Keys and controllers

Map any of these to a key, a game controller's button or axis, or a MIDI knob (how):

  • Transmit on COM 1
  • Transmit on COM 2
  • Audio NAV 1
  • Audio NAV 2
  • Audio DME
  • Audio ADF
  • Audio MKR
  • Audio SPKR

Simulator data

What the Hub reads from the simulator for this instrument, and what the instrument sends back. Names are the simulators' own: MSFS SimVars and events, X-Plane datarefs and commands.

Changes

The instrument's version counts what its faces share (the case, the mechanism, the data, the sounds); a face's own version counts that face alone.

  • 2.0 2026-10-19
    • Drawn as the KA 134 it was taken from: mechanical latching keys with no lamps, a key that is on pushed in and lower; EXT, 1, 2 and SPKR yellow, the others white, black legends; the MIC bracket as printed; x134 TSO on the plate.
    • EXT is the third MIC position: pushed, it sits in and releases 1 and 2 until one of them is pushed (no simulator effect).
    • No MIC key shown pushed before the simulator says which COM transmits.
    • The speaker (SPKR) can be driven from a hardware key or MIDI pad, like the other audio keys.
    • Named KA 134-style audio panel in the picker.
  • 1.0 2026-10-19
