Flaps

Flaps

A round flap position indicator: a white flap swings down from the wing's trailing edge over a scale from UP to FULL. The FLAPS knob moves the simulator's flaps one position at a time.

Features

  • Flap drawn hinged at the wing, swinging over a scale marked UP, 10-degree steps and FULL
  • Full scale 30 degrees for up to three positions (172), else 40
  • Handle position readout (HANDLE n / total)
  • Red X when the flap angle is missing
  • Night lighting: the face takes the panel's red flood light, the glareshield's warm light from above (stronger for instruments higher on the page) and its own light, a lamp hidden at the top of the case lighting the dial downward (Settings > Dimmers: Red flood light, Glareshield, Instruments (analog))

Your aircraft: Scale range from the simulator's number of flap positions (30 or 40 degrees full).

On the iPad

  • Drag the FLAPS knob down for more flaps, up for less (one position per 34 px)
  • Tap elsewhere on the face to change the instrument

Simulator data

What the Hub reads from the simulator for this instrument, and what the instrument sends back. Names are the simulators' own: MSFS SimVars and events, X-Plane datarefs and commands.

Add-on aircraft with their own systems may use other variables; the Hub reads the standard ones.

Changes

The instrument's version counts what its faces share (the case, the mechanism, the data, the sounds); a face's own version counts that face alone.
